Coaching sessions

I offer coaching and mentoring in the following areas:

  • Launching and running your own not-for profit
  • Diversity and inclusion considerations in global teams.
  • Non-traditional research careers (including research software engineering and “late” research degrees).
  • Codes of conduct - creating them, commmon mistakes, handling a current crisis (confidentially).

Historically I have offered coaching in other areas, but I’m feeling a bit out of touch these days:

  • Getting started or finding a safe space in Open Source Software.

Practicalities

  • Usually sessions happen over Zoom (or some other virtual platform); I’m in the Cambridge UK area if you would like an in-person session.
  • Sessions are “pay what you like” and use a robin hood fee structure.
    • If you live in a high-income region and/or have a high stable income yourself, my suggested fee is £150 GBP / hour, or a bundle of ten coaching sessions for £1,200 GBP.
    • If you have lower income (or none!), I’m happy to set up coaching for free, as long as I have capacity.
    • If you’re able to pay (or your employer is), please pay as much as you can. The higher my paid coaching income, the more easily I can say “yes” to those who can’t afford to pay. I can provide an invoice at any desired rate.
